I was tagged by Hannah from Pages, Places, and Plates to share 7 things I like in a book,
I have mentioned this before in a previous post I’m sure but I really love opening a book which contains a map. I especially love the one inside the Hobbit book because the minute you open the front page you are taken into a completely different world. Does anybody else feel like this?
2. Books that look nice as a full collection.
There’s nothing better than owning a full collection of books. Especially ones that look nice all put together. I especially love the Morganville Vampire books, they are my biggest collection so far, even though I’m missing my copy of the Glass House’s book 1.
3. A book that makes me look at my life differently.
Have you ever read a book that changed your perception of life? Those are the best kind of books. The real eye-opener books like The Lord of the Flies or The Fault in our Stars. Both of which I need to by myself a copy of.
4. Strong relatable characters.
I love reading a story with characters that you can relate to or aspire to. One of my all-time favourite characters is Clarissa Fray/Fairchild from The Mortal Instrument’s series. Her character development is amazing through the series, she’s a strong and brave young woman and I really admire her.
5. A fictional world you don’t want to leave.
I love books with a really good setting. I have so many fictional world’s I love, but my all time favourite will always remain Harry Potter, who doesn’t love to get lost in a world full of wizards, werewolves, ghosts, elves, goblins, and giants?
6. A story that has you reeling.
I love starting a book that’s so easy to read and has you flipping page after page. I want to feel disappointed at the end of the book, not because the story was bad but because it ended.
7. Books with multiple perspectives.
I love being able to read from different P.O.V.s of the characters. I feel I can get more out of a feel for each character and their personality. You get more out of the story without missing any details.
This was a lot harder than I thought it would be but I hope you enjoyed this short post. I have loads of post’s planned and I promise I’m going to try to get them up for you as soon as possible!
I’d like to tag these brilliant book bloggers to share there Seven Thing’s I like about a book:
