Questions/prompts from Naomi.

Describe a family member who you really connect with. (no need to identify them if you don’t want to)

I connect with all of my family each on a very different level. I would say I connect with my mother the most, we share a lot of common interests and she is my biggest supporter.

What’s your favourite TV show and why?

I actually stopped watching TV about 2 years ago, I’m more of a movie girl, from the shows that I have seen I love Supernatural and Pretty Little Liars.

What challenges have you faced in your life? What did you do to overcome them?

I have faced a lot of challenges in my life the biggest would be

Pitch a podcast idea in 150 words or less.

Random ramblings about life, the universe and everything in between. Interested?

What does a normal day look like for you?

‘I get up when I want except on Wednesday’s when I get rudely awaken by the dustmen.’ Typically I allow my body clock to wake me whenever it feels necessary usually around 8-9 AM, after washing up and getting dressed, I’ll spend the first part of the day till around 11 playing with my daughter. After lunch, I’ll get started on any housework and blogging work I need doing until roughly around 2-3PM. Then after Amelia goes to bed, I’ll spend time with my boyfriend and continue to work until I don’t want to anymore, basically. I’ll watch a movie, read a book or workout then go to bed. Pretty boring, hey?

If there were no laws for one day, what would you do?

Live a normal day, I have a huge conscience. I egged a house when I was a child then knocked on the door the next day to apologize.

What would you most like to change about the world?

What are you most ‘into’ (excluding blogging/writing)?

I love to read, I enjoy playing on my keyboard although I wouldn’t brand myself as good.

Where would you like to be in ten years?

In ten years, I’d like to have my novel published any maybe be working on another. I don’t like to set things 100% in stone, as life is uncertain and changing every single second of every day. The future. My future is uncertain.

Write a description of yourself from the perspective of a superfan.

What pets would you like to have and why?

I miss my beautiful husky more than life itself but I am quite satisfied in the meantime with my snails (GALS) and a new baby bunny named Beatrix.

Questions / Prompts from Hannah

What’s an interesting fact about you that people might not expect?

I can sing in 4 different languages? I think this is more weird than interesting. Languages fascinate me and they have done for as long as I can remember. I am always up for learning something new. I joined a language choir when I was a teenager and I can now sing Latin, Japenese, French, and Spanish.

If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life what would it be?

I’m not a big foodie but I do love Chinese food, I used to work in a Chinese restaurant and the chef was fantastic and it has completely ruined my Chinese experience as ever since we shut down I haven’t been able to find a Chinese place that ranks anywhere near. I basically wish Chef could be my personal Chef!

What’s a fear you have that you really want to overcome?

I used to possess a lot of ‘irrational’ fears such as moths, heights and fear of dying. Irrational? I believe now all fear is rational. I have trained my brain. I am not afraid of anything anymore.

What’s your main aim when it comes to your blog?

Make my daughter proud. Accomplish what I set out to do. Help other people who suffer from Mental Health Problems and inspire people to chase their dreams.

What’s a hobby you don’t currently do but really want to take up?

There isn’t any at present. I already do yoga, my writing and playing the keyboard which was all things I wanted to do. I don’t feel I have the time at the moment to start any more hobbies.

If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

Clairvoyance. I don’t think it’s technically a ‘superpower’ but it is the only power, I would love to have.

You’re moving house and have to choose between a ranch in the desert, an ice house in a snowy land, a treehouse in the jungle, or a bamboo hut on the beach. Which do you choose?

Icehouse in a snowy land and I will sing Let it Go like Elsa!

What’s something you were absolutely obsessed with as a kid?

I have always loved reading and writing my own silly stories. I suppose it was my destiny to be a book blogger who is working on their own novel.

You’ve been given £1m to donate to any single charity of your choice. Which one do you go for?

I am not 100% sure which one, I know it would definitely be a Mental Health charity though.

Aside from blogging (if that’s the case), what is your dream job?

Blogging and counseling.

And the ultimate debate… Pineapple on pizza?

NO! I consider Pineapple a dessert and I would never eat my dessert with my meal!

Bloggers Recognition Award

First of all, I am very very honored to have been nominated for this award!

Thank you very much to the lovely Crystal from MaybeCrazyHelp for nominating me!

Crystal runs a mental health-related blog where she shares help for people who are on that journey of recovery, please check out her amazing blog!

Why I started Blogging:

As I’ve mentioned a thousand times, I have wanted to be a writer, an author since about the age of 8-9. A year and 2 months ago, I was sat having a conversation with my boyfriend about writing and how I love doing it but I don’t have anywhere to share it. He suggested I started a blog where I could document my life and finally share my writing with the world. I began talking about day’s out and personal life experiences.

About 6 months into writing my blog, I became housebound with severe anxiety and I thought that’s it for me, no more blog posts to write because I felt like my life was gone. I began writing about books, and my journey into becoming an author. I still struggle every day with my severe anxiety and I am now trying to write openly about my mental health to help others.

Another reason why I started this blog was to inspire people to do what they want to do. I want people to see that I worked so hard to create this small piece of the web because I wanted to. If I can do it then why can’t you? I want people to push past the self-doubt and believe in themselves. I believe in you all and I hope I can inspire you to chase those dreams, write your own life.

Advice for New Bloggers:

  • Don’t ever doubt yourself, you can do it. I was like you once, and although I don’t have an incredibly large blog, I am proud of every single accomplishment and I’m glad I found the courage to do so!
  • Do it because you enjoy it, not because you want to gain from it. People can always tell true passion and authenticity.
  • Stick it out, this is the hardest, there will be ups and there will be downs, but it will all be worth it in the end.
